Implementing a Program Office to Manage Multiple Work Streams
A global investment bank was proceeding with a multi-stream transformational effort intended to reduce operating costs, address operating risk, manage new deal workflows, and expand support for new products. Due to the scope of the work, the bank experienced difficulties managing the efforts and communicating status to the executive team. Kohesiv was engaged to implement a framework to actively manage, coordinate, and monitor the multiple efforts.
Kohesiv developed a consistent and integrated management system to provide a control mechanism for senior management which included Executive Management Dashboards, productivity measures, earned vs. burned rates, milestones, and budget variance.
The program office resulted in greater transparency, allowed for early identification of issues and aligned inter-project dependencies. As a result, management was able to better maintain project schedules, and allocate resources.
